Anyone who has lived at all will find moments that will be personally painful but this is a fascinating experience and it is performed with such reality by the actors that it is totally absorbing, though sometimes played with an intimacy that you must strain to hear, and then there is the added engagement of chasing after or seeking out new episodes. When Harry meets the missing Pearl (Lucy Allin) will he recognize her, and will you? When you do you will probably realise that you've in fact already met her. Is Harry innocent or guilty? Is Ray (Jamie Richards) the sadistic tool of Mr Qyain or trying to help her? The questions are not so much about them as about you."

Daisy Leverington - Performer Profile - A Red Threatening Sky

 

This is Daisy's second Foolish People production, having performed in Cirxus at The Arcola last summer. Daisy lives the very happy life of a street theatre performer, performing all over the world in all weathers and languages. She was once called a 'comic genius' by a critic, but they had her mixed up with her male co-star and spelled her name wrong. Daisy has no idea about love, but fancies her chances anyway.

Sinead Geary - Artists Profile - A Red Threatening Sky

 

Sinead Geary is the designer, Artist and founder of “Dolly Divine”, an online shop selling unique fashion , furnishings, and jewellery. her work is an eclectic mix of romance and drenched with nostalgia from bygone images and characters from the earlier twentieth century. Inspired by old circus posters and painted post-cards, she rummages through flea markets and vintage stalls in search for weird and wonderful images and trinkets. Her work highlights a sense of what has been and the remnants of what is left behind. The idea that life , love, extremities of emotion and worldly presence are all transient; she attempts to recapture a forgotten moment, beauty and feeling.

Sinead's background is between textile design and fine art, graduating from Middlesex with a first class honours Degree in Textiles, she has recently set up her own label “Dolly Divine”, and has designed a collection of 1940's inspired fashion garments with circus themed prints.

Hannah Druckes is a theatre designer and maker based in London. A Red Threatening Sky is her second collaboration with FoolishPeople. Her interest in immersive performance comes from a fascination of theatre audiences and how performance can push their boundaries and allow them to experience extreme emotion. Inspiration also comes from how layers of narrative and visual language can work together to produce a unique performance experience. Working with FoolishPeople has allowed her artisitic freedom and the opportunity to create exciting theatre that pushes the boundaries of live performance.
